Recession follows Inflation

Excessive monetary growth caused the spike in inflation. Will too aggressive tightening push the economy in recession?

In our conversation in June last year (episode 84) Professor Congdon predicted the high inflation in the USA, the UK and the Eurozone. Now he fears, central banks are committing a second mistake in pushing the economies into recession. His appeal: we have to return to a policy of steady monetary growth.
